Who are we? Mathematic enthusiasts and investors...
Originally educated in engineering and computer science, we have worked on satellites most of our careers. Interested in solving complex problems in mathematics, which involve complicated modeling and simulations, we decided to pursue another common interest… investing. We work for a large Aerospace Company building advanced communications satellites for the U.S. government. Currently, we are both pursuing our MBAs part-time at UCLA. Market Mines will be used as our platform to develop real time models available to the public. In addition, we will implement our own analyses to traditional models in order to increase returns and reduce risk.
As the markets increase in complexity with globalization in the information age it is crucial to continually improve and expand economic models. This has been most apparent in the recent global recession of Fall 2008, which crippled global markets. Ever wonder why some people make money while everyone else losses? This is the very question we aim to answer.
